Ravana is a new robot being added to the game since the update 5.7 and it is classed as a heavy robot (on this wiki) and has 3 medium hardpoints.
Ravana has a unique ability called Transcendence. Once this ability is activated, the robot consumes an ability charge and enters a special mode which lasts for 3 seconds. When in this mode, Ravana enters a form akin to the ability of the Phase Shift Module, which grants it immunity to damage (however allies cannot shelter behind it as projectiles will travel straight through it) and cannot be affected by negative effects (like Lock-down, Freeze and Corrosion). If Ravana was affected by one of these before activating the ability, if Ravana activates Transcendence the negative effect(s) applied to it will automatically be dropped.
As well as these effects, Ravana activates a speed boost which is basically a controlled , which makes its ability one of the most remarkable in the game.
Ravana is best played as a tank for the central beacon on hotly contested maps like Yamantau, as it is extremely hard to destroy, with its large health pool and Transcendence ability by its side. Ravana can easily come out or into trouble unscathed when using its ability, which makes it extremely efficient at making splash-built robots like the Orkan Spectre or the Rime-Cryo Ares waste their clips, making them extremely vurnable to the tremendous damage Ravana can dish out with its three medium hardpoints.
Ravana can also act as a mobile sniper, three Ballistas, Wasps, Hussars or Pulsars can easily shred an enemy to pieces from range. Ravana can easily tank out damage from weapons like the Molot T but when comfronted with Fluxes or Trebutchets quad-mounted on a Behemoth, Ravana can Transcend into its ability and run to cover, immune top any negative effects applied to it.
Ravana's best point is its close-range ability. Vortexes and Cryos paired with damage boosters and Thermonuclear Reactors will do a quick job of any Leech or Phantom caught off-guard, while more long-term weapons like Punisher Ts or Tarans can tear even a Fury or possibly an Ao Ming apart.
Ravana can be paired with the Phase Shift module to be pretty much invincible, as its ability can provide cover for three seconds while Phase Shift can for another three. Six seconds of immunity to damage can turn the tide in any one-on-one battle.
The last tip on Ravana is to run away from lockdown Invaders. It might seem very specific but this combination is very popular in higher leagues and despite Ravana's ability to remove negative effects, Invader's Halos and Coronas can easily destroy your Ravana, even with its huge health pool.
