The Ravana is a medium robot with 3 medium hardpoints. It is classified as a heavy robot by the War Robots wiki (see Wiki Class).
Ravana's ability is called Transcendence. Once activated the robot consumes an ability charge and enters a special mode similar to the Phase Shift Module, giving Ravana immunity from damage and all other effects (Lock-down, Freeze, Suppression, Corrosion and healing). Projectiles will travel straight through Ravana, and effect(s) applied to Ravana will automatically be dropped. In addition to the Phase Shift ability Ravana activates a 250% speed boost (175 km/h at max speed). Ravana is unable to fire its weapons while in Transcendence.
Ravana and its Transcendence ability can outlast most opponents in a one-vs-one engagement by forcing the opponent to waste their ammunition and their abilities, making it an ideal bot for close-range engagement and to ambush enemies. Its invincibility means it is also good at holding down beacons and delaying enemies until support arrives. Ravana is best suited towards weapons with high burst damage and relatively short reload, such as the Cryo and Storm, as the immunity from Transcendence gives an extra 3 seconds for the Ravana to reload or recharge it's weapons. Due to the nature of Transcendence Ravana should not be played like the Leech or Ao Jun, where the abilities can be used to get out of danger or rush in and attack - the Ravana must choose its targets carefully and utilize its abilities at the right time.
If used for mid-range support weapons such as Wasps, Hussars, Atomizers , or Pulsars work well. With its relatively high health pool the Ravana can "tank" damage from other mid-range and long-range weapons and use Transcendence to move to cover.
When equipped with the Phase Shift module Ravana can have 9 seconds of invincibility (3 seconds of Phase Shift, and two charges of Transcendence which are three seconds each). If using Ravana's Legendary Pilot Arnav Poe (which gives Ravana an extra ability charge) Ravana can have 12 seconds of invincibility. If also equipped with a max Last Stand module Ravana can gain an additional 4.5 seconds of invincibility, which when added all together can total 16.5 seconds.
Ravana poses a large threat thanks to its high hit points, respectable firepower, and the flexibility of its Transcendence ability.
These setups are recommended for the Ravana:
Note: Each slot type is filled with only one particular weapon. For example, if a robot has 3 light all three of those slots are filled with Pinatas, as mixing weapons of the same slot type is not advisable.
Close Range (350m or less)
A powerful setup for the Ravana is using high Damage Per Second (DPS) weapons, such as Storms , Orkans , and Cryos. Using Transcendence allows for the Ravana to enter into close range without exposing itself to enemies.
Mid-range and long-range builds are not recommended since they do not compliment Ravana's Transcendence ability.
