The Kisten is a homing weapon that can fire two salvos of missiles per magazine. This makes it capable of destroying up to two targets per round instead of the usual one offered by other weapons of this family, making it incredibly powerful when the commander is being pursued by two targets, as the Kisten doesn't need to reload to take them both out of the match. Using the Kisten is a good way to mitigate physical shields, due to its upward trajectory before hitting the target. Also, Kisten should use its range to its advantage by staying away from your targets. Using the Kisten's firing trajectory to fire volleys over cover is another advantage of this weapon.
When using multiple Kistens or Bulavas with Kistens, a commander could fire each one individually to achieve maximum one-use wasting potential. This, combined with its two salvos per round, makes the Kisten a great weapon to counter robots with temporary yet powerful abilities - firing off a single volley at a robot such as Orochi could force them to use an ability charge to mitigate or escape the enormous damage of the weapon. This can be repeated multiple times to force the enemy to expend any abilities, Modules or Microchips that they may have equipped to provide temporary resistance against damage.
Fast Titans like Minos or Luchador may seem to be a odd decision to run Kisten weapons. However, the hit and run tactics that these fast Titans often use can be exploited with this weapon - their speed allows for getting behind cover quickly after firing. A single target can be burned down rapidly, especially when paired with Cannibal Reactor and Antimatter Reactors. Between reloads, running to another cover with Reflector to minimize damage is advised.
