Introduction[]

The Glacier is a close-range (up to 300 meters) cryogenic heavy rocket weapon. It has a light and medium counterpart (Rime and Cryo respectively) and can be viewed as the freezing counterpart to the Exodus.

Strategy[]

The Glacier's explosive shells works very similar to its medium counterpart Cryo and it' light counterpart Rime, due to the freeze ability and the reload while firing mechanic.

The Glacier is also very similar to the Exodus and has good synergy with other close-range / high-burst DPS weapons. It increases the damage dealt to the target when it is in a closer range, just like most of the other rocket launchers. A hit-and-run strategy is advisable due to its huge burst damage + freeze effect and poor performance in sustained combat.

The Glacier's ability to freeze enemy robots and omit high damage splash damage makes it very useful at pinning down fast-moving enemy robots which rely on their speed such as the Kumiho, Strider, Phantom, or Pursuer. The freeze effect allows teammates to quickly attack the threat or buy time for the rest of the team to get into a good firing position.

Glaciers can also be used to pin down enemies pursuing you, allowing more time for a strategic retreat or repositioning without losing too much health. Lastly, it is an effective weapon against Titans since it deals significant damage and slows the target down, allowing you and your teammates to deal immense damage while the Titan is slowed down and has lowered defenses.

Pros and Cons[]

  • Slow reload (for full clip)
  • Not good for sustained damage
  • Ineffective against energy shields
