The Gendarme is a mid-range (up to 600 meters) alpha energy weapon.


Pros and Cons[]

Pros

  • Energy attribute allows penetration of energy shields
  • Reloads while firing
  • 600m range allows mid-range shootdowns
  • Somewhat good damage per burst
  • Defense Mitigation allows partial to full negation of damage resistance

Cons

  • Ineffective against physical shields
  • Ineffective at close range against specialized brawling weapons
  • Must expose Titan for a long time to maximize damage potential
  • Considerably long reload to refill clip
  • Alpha weapon-can only be mounted on Titans

Strategy[]

This weapon is best used paired alongside Cuirassiers. This setup allows the pilot to deal damage from long distances without fear of exposure to weapons with 500m range or lower.
