The Gendarme is a mid-range (up to 600 meters) alpha energy weapon.


Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Energy attribute allows penetration of energy shields
  • Reloads while firing
  • 600m range allows mid-range shootdowns
  • Gigantic damage per shot
  • Defence mitigation allows partial to full negation of damage resistance

Cons

  • Ineffective against physical shields
  • Ineffective at close range against specialised brawling weapons
  • Must expose robot for a long time to maximize damage potential
  • Considerably long reload to refill clip
  • Alpha weapon-can only be mounted on Titans

Strategy

This weapon is best used paired alongside Cuirassiers. This setup allows the pilot to deal high damage from long distances without fear of exposure to Vengeance and Retaliators.
