Introduction

The Ember is a close-range (up to 350 meters) heavy special weapon.

Strategy

The Ember is a special weapon along with its light equivalent the Blaze, due to them being the only weapons that can bypass both built-in or mounted Anciles and physical shields (Ecus). The Ember also damages physical shields. This is a dangerous weapon due to its very high DPS and the fact that its flames act as both explosive (splash) and plasma (energy) projectiles.

Although the Ember is a powerful weapon, a major drawback is that the Ember's firing speed, compared to other weapons, is very slow, taking quite long to empty. This weapon isn't great to counter dash robots, however, it can bypass their shields and its large spread usually guarantees damage. It is also not ideal to counter fast, light robots such as Stalker.

A good place to mount this weapon is on the Bulwark, Mercury, Strider or the Inquisitor, to name a few. It is not uncommon for players to mount an Ember or two on other robots with heavy hardpoints. The Bulwark can utilize the Ember well, using its excellent defenses to get into the 350 meter range of the Ember. The Inquisitor and Mercury can utilize the weapon with the Descend ability to quickly take out opponents without fear of retaliation. The Strider can use its superb speed to quickly close in within 350 meters of an enemy. Lastly, using 4 Embers on the Butch is not advised as the cooldown time of the Quick Draw ability is twice as long as the unload time of the Ember.

  • An ember is a tiny, glowing piece of ash rising from a fire.
  • It takes players 17 days, 22 hours, and 30.75 million silver to obtain this weapon (creating packs of 400 with all 6 slots active)
  • Only this weapon and Blaze can bypass both Ancile and Physical shields
