The Cuirassier is a mid-range (up to 600 meters) beta energy weapon.


Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Energy attribute allows penetration of energy shields
  • Reloads while firing
  • 600m range allows mid-range shootdowns
  • Quick unload time
  • Strong damage per shot
  • Defence mitiagtion allows partial to full negation of damage resistance

Cons

  • Ineffective against physical shields
  • Ineffective at close range against specialised brawling weapons
  • Must expose robot for a long time to maximize damage potential
  • Considerable reload to refill entire cartridge
  • Beta weapon-can only be mounted on Titans

Strategy

The Cuirassier is the Beta version of the Gendarme. As such, it should be played similarly. By keeping a safe distance away from other threatening weapons such as Vengeance, you can inflict severe damage with no fear of retaliation. The Ao Ming is an ideal mounting choice, as it can hover over the battlefield, giving it a direct line-of-sight, but the Cuirassier's range allows the Ao Ming to negate its main weakness-its low health pool.
