Bulava is a medium range, homing, Alpha weapon that has a range of up to 500m.


The Bulava can be seen as a powerful, homing weapon that can fire two salvos of missiles per round. This makes it capable of destroying up to two targets per round instead of the usual one offered by other weapons of this family, making it incredibly powerful when its operator is engaging two targets, as the Bulava doesn't need to reload to target each one.

Bulava's ammunition should be used on large and slow targets to maximize the number of missiles that hit. Bulavas are also a good way to mitigate physical shields due to its upward trajectory before hitting the target. Also, Bulava should use its range to its advantage by staying from around 375-500 meters away from the target, minimizing return fire done to you.

Using the Bulava's two rounds to engage shielded enemies is very effective if the user fires both salvos at an enemy with an energy or Aegis barrier. The enemy shield can often be brought down from the first missile volley, while the second will deal significant damage to the target before their barrier has time to regenerate. This means that targeting enemies with Aegis or energy shields is a priority, as the operator will essentially have finished off (or at least severely damaged) an enemy which could later have become a serious nuisance to allies less-equipped to deal shielded targets.

When using multiple Bulavas, or Bulavas with Kistens, a commander could fire each one individually to achieve maximum one-use wasting potential. This, combined with its two salvos per round, makes the Bulava a great weapon to counter robots with temporary yet powerful abilities. Firing off a single round at a robot such as Orochi could force them to use an ability charge to mitigate or escape the enormous damage of even one Bulava volley. This could be repeated multiple times to scour the enemy clean of any ability charges, Modules or Microchips that provide temporary resistance against damage. One downside of this strategy is that the commander will likely have spent significant time dealing with the target, allowing other enemies to deal damage to the Titan. This dynamic can be somewhat mitigated by hiding behind cover, using the Bulava's firing trajectory to fire missile over cover and at the target.

Like all other homing weaponry, Bulava shares many of the same weaknesses. After firing off both of its salvos, it has a long reload time, which makes this weapon poor for sustained combat. On the other hand, it is excellent for hit and run titans such as Murometz, or titans that are able to equip multiples of this weapon, such as Sharanga or Ao Ming, when in combination with Kistens.

  • The Bulava and Kisten have a maximum range of 500m.
    • This is different from their non-Titan counterparts Aphid, Vortex and Thermite. However, the Bulava still counts as part of the Vortex family and not the Hydra family as its projectile arc and unload speed are much more similar to the former than the latter.
