Weapon Balancing[]

HMGs[]

Kramola, Razdor, Smuta

Instead of nerfing damage directly, HMGs can be modified to be fairer weapons are mid-range.

  • After homing starts at 150m, particles do not directly aim at the target. Instead they change direction to aim at a range close to the target, making it still have shot dispersion. This dispersion will be smaller than shooting without the homing effect - the homing ability decreases dispersion but not cancel it completely.
  • HMGs require target lock-on for homing to be effective.
  • Change acceleration mode acceleration to +25%, or in words, change accelerated shot interval from 0.06s to 0.07s. (This is significant since the values are rounded to 0.01)
  • Change reload interval to 1.2s, this will also cause the weapons to have no acceleration during cycle fire.
  • Add Acceleration mode icon to the weapon description, and allow pilot skills Sharpshooter and Speedshooter.
  • Nerf the firing sound of HMGs to be less ear-raping and annoying!

Cryo Flux[]

Snaer, Skadi, Hel

Instead of breaking the weapons' burst length, smarter modifications can be made.

  • Buff the reload interval to 2.5s, but decrease reload amount from 10 to 8 . This way reload time will be 12.5s, and the pace of these weapons will be faster.
  • Nerf effect accumulation by 20%, since this weapon never misses and applies all effects too fast.
  • Let these weapons require target lock-on, similar to Scourge.

Cryo Rockets[]

Rime, Cryo, Glacier

  • Buff Cryo damage by 10%, since it is too similar to Rime
  • Buff effect accumulation by 20%, since rockets tend to miss fast robots, and the effect is applied quite late.

Trident[]

  • Revert AOE back to 19m.
  • Increase reload interval to 1.2s, since this weapon fires 4 rockets in a burst, so why is it called Tri-dent?

Buff Haechi !![]

Strongly advised changes:

  • Increase durability back to the point when Haechi was first released. This means durability at level 12 MK1 should be increased from 143k to 150k.
  • Increase ground speed so that Haechi would be in the middle of Bulgasari and Kumiho, preferably the same as Doc, at 53 km/h. Currently Haechi has underbalanced speed at only 48 km/h max, which even falls behind tanks like Fenrir, making no sense.
  • Rework Ancile-class energy shields. Instead of getting bypassed completely by energy projectiles, Ancile shields block energy damage partially, absorbing 50% and letting 50% through. This makes these shields still viable in higher leagues and distinct from Aegis shields.

Advised buff ideas:

  • Buff Legendary Pilot Amalia Itegumo. 25 defense points is equivalent to having 25% more health in general, which is quite helpful. However, the "unique" skill can be more creative. Consider giving Haechi temporary immune to Freeze (similar to Kyle Rogers (Hawk)), and let Haechi's weapons be able to apply the Freeze effect.
  • Buff dash power so that one dash can carry Haechi slightly further. For reference, the duration of the dash can be increased from 0.75s to 1.0s.
  • Include Wonderworker for pilot skills. The light robot Jesse has it even though its ability cooldown time is only 9 seconds, while Haechi's is 10 seconds. This is optional, since 10 seconds is quite short compared to other abilities; Bulgasari can consider having it, since its cooldown is 15 seconds.

Also, fix Haechi-related bugs:

  • Make Haechi MK1 shield data consistent with MK2. Currently, MK1 level 12 shield durability is 15% lower than MK2 level 1, which is inconsistent. This was likely caused by an incorrectly implemented Haechi buff at update 5.6, where Haechi's shield was buffed by 15%. To solve this issue, Haechi's shield at MK1 should be buffed by 15%.
  • Fix Dash issues. Dashing off a ledge nearly always causes Haechi to stop mid-air, which is extremely disappointing and against physics. After Dashing, the robot should maintain momentum until it hit the ground. Of course, superdash exists, but it is only an extreme case where the laws of physics finally apply...

Finally, for a Tier 3 robot, its legendary paintjob is overpriced.

  • Reduce Arctic legendary paintjob price to 2000~3000 Au, instead of the insane 10000 Au, which is for T4 robots. For reference, some T2 robots' legendary paintjobs only cost a few hundred gold...
